Development of functional materials and meta-materials for the Bio-robotic and robotic industries

Newly engineered functional materials and meta-materials can provide major advantages in the development of Bio-robotic systems. Our functional materials group strives to achieve groundbreaking materials qualities such as very low weight while retaining strength, superior locomotion stability, programmable visibility, improved durability, cost reduction and other unique qualities that are essential for Bio-robotic systems and many other cross-industry products.

our vision

What do we develop?

Hybrid plastics: Innovative hybrid plastic compounds that would be substantially stronger than current known plastics but not heavier so that the usage of such compounds for the fabrication of elements that sustain mechanical forces will require less material and will result in a reduction of weight and cost.

Meta materials: Meta materials provide macro functionality emerging from micro structural material design, we design meta functional plastics that provide desired kinetic functions such as shock absorbance and micro stabilization, with minimal overhead of energy consumption.

Target users

Who can use our resources and how?

We will provide samples of our smart materials to our collaborators, subject to our collaboration framework, so that they will be able to explore the functional benefits of our materials to their components in development and subject to our commercial framework, to other organizations and clients across various industries.
